Yes and yes!! It was pretty clear for a while now that Treyarch were not going to make the same mistake IW, Activision, whoever, did. As much as MW2 sold, it's longevity issues will always remain coz nothing can be done with it. I can't believe i'm saying this when I used to bag Treyarch so much for one of the biggest patched games in history that still has issues, but THANK GOD for Treyarch and sanity prevailing with the next COD.

Black Ops will be sporting the return of dedicated servers and punkbuster to stop the hackers!! Removal of stupid perks like commando and tac knife are also being done.

The server problems, the hacking and the stupid knife rubbish were and still are the big problems with MW2!! Not so much the hacking lately, i've noticed, but server connection problems remains a major problem!!

With these things removed from the next COD, it promises to be a BIG winner!!

It looks like Treyarch has done their homework around the failures with MW2 and they're NOT letting it happen to their new baby!!

Well done and thank God for REAL h/core!!

(stupid knife) bs the knife is by far the best weapon for the ultimate humiliation i say. i for one will be sad to see it go.

I like the knife is MW2...I mean i cant stand those FRIKKEN DICK WADS who runn aroun d with marathon, lightweight, commando, and run around frikken knifing...but i dont like the fact that in like cod or mw1 where it is REALLY hard to knife...

Well this game is starting to look better all the time as Drugzy said. I couldn't get your link to work but I was wondering if this is the video you looked at. It shows some of the game play and physics well get to grace our screens. Bringing in real Russian Spetznaz and American military advisors to improve movement and weapon usage really lifts the quality. Love the AI now with guys ducking to avoid gun fire when they see the muzzle pointing in their direction. You may have to register at custom cod to see the trailer though, not sure. Really looking forward to it. Being a Cold War era game it also gives us something a little different as well.

Amazing level of detail and work they're putting into this game.

Stormer you seem to have totally missed my point about the knife in MW2. If you shoot ppl at close quarters (and i don't mean miss them) and they happen to be using the commando perk or a tac knife & they press the knife button, your bullets won't work and the knife wins every time!!

In earlier COD games, the bullets work quicker than the knife. Realism vs Arcade Style Xbox type crap. You would remember that.
In an earlier vid that I posted, it talks about a different knife that has been introduced in Black Ops. We just have to wait and see what it turns out like.

Of course there will be a knife in Black Ops, and yes knifing is a great humiliation tool. Only when it takes a bit of skill to use it (eg. Bad Company 2) NOT the rubbish in MW2 of the Commando perk and Tac knife which Treyarch have had the good sense to get rid of.
